Position: Clinical Assistant Professor
Duties: Will perform animal diagnostic services for the Mississippi Veterinary Research and Diagnostic Laboratory and Poultry Research and Diagnostic Laboratory. Will also engage in related research and data analysis.
Requirements: MS or higher degree, Veterinary Sciences, or closely related field; in depth knowledge of: conventional and real time PCR; West Nile and Eastern equine encephalitis IgM ELISA tests; development and validation of new molecular procedures; preparation of SOPs; isolation of poultry viruses; hemaglutination assay; neuraminidase assay; SAS; Excel; Bioedit; phylogenetic analysis package; software to predict RNA and protein structure.
